Workshop #1: Wednesday Sept.23,  7:30-8:30 PM: Is this Book/TV show Anti-racist? How to look at the books and shows our children watch through an anti-racist/anti-bias lens.(includes Q&A)

Workshop #2: Wednesday Sept. 30, 7:30-8:30 PM: Stereotypes in Children's Books: How to Select Books + TV shows for your children that dispel stereotypes. Let's grow in our understanding of what a stereotype is, reflect on how they impact our lives and the lives of those around us, and create actionable steps to move towards selecting books for our children that dispel stereotypes rather than reinforce them. (includes Q&A)

Presenter: Aundrea Tabbs-Smith. Aundrea is a mom of two and author of For the Quiet Black Girl. She was a classroom teacher for twelve years and worked with school administration to identify areas in the curriculum that needed restructuring so that Black and brown children were being affirmed.
